That did not work out. The Dealer quoted me around $450 for the repair. I bought the pump from OEMPartSource.com $175 with shipping, about 6 work days deliver. Install yourself or take it to a car stereo type place for them to do it. The co. has how to videos. You'll save $$$ over a new CUE unit from the Dealer to only have it fail again down the road. It's also a lot cheaper than being financially abused by GM to pay for a replacement ICS @ > $1500 over a much cheaper failed component. I paid $60 for a replacement touch screen.
2 posts · Joined 2015. #1 · Jul 21, 2021. CUE touch screen quit working. Replaced it with a new one from cuescreens.com. Touch screen works now, but I'm having the same symptoms with AC not working. I can disconnect the battery and reconnect it and the AC will work again. After a day or so i have to repeat this process.

The CUE system, imho, is the worst thing to happen to Cadillac since the Cimarron or V-8-6-4 engine. I sold our 2010 CTS Sedan and bought the 2014 as a "Certified pre-owned" Cadillac. So far, 2 wheels have been straightened, the left front magnetic ride strut replaced, and had 2 new cam phasers installed.

I suspect some inanimate objects may not work. If the object is at the same or less temperature than the device, it may not recognize the touch. But, that is just a guess. I have 60K on the vehicle and called Cadillac to see if there was a recall since so many people are reporting the same issue. There was no recall or service bulletin for this problem but obviously its an issue since so many people are having it. My 2015 XTS CUE SYSTEM is not working either. It seems like Cadillac doesn't care about its customers or fixing this issue. This is very common problem and very expensive to fix.
