Optical Camo is straight trash. First of all, here's a disclaimer: I haven't unlocked all the optical camo skills yet so can't give a 100% Optical Camo skill opinion. That said, whoever designed the current optical camo ability is nuts. I get it shouldn't be OP and needs the recharge time/battery drain style mechanics.
Optical Camo and New Progression. Optical Camo is unlockable in Conquest mode! The optical camo function with a gauge system that starts at 100 and decreases with time and according to player action. Turning on the camo consumes a certain amount of gauge per second, and firing a weapon or running will increase the rate of consumption. Panther, spray your deodorant and run onto the behemoth platforms, grab your camo points, then fast travel to the nearest bivouac. as long as your spray before the behemoths notice your arrival, it wont alert it one bit. Ive got the optical camo and the GRFS version and the GRFS didnt seem like it did anything, that it was just a gimmick. The GRFS outfit i didnt see anything about it helping with lowering detection rates both in game and on forums and such, and i still havent seen any info on it other than "i think" type of comments.
