Put an EGW ignition and spring. 2.5lb crisp trigger. 3500 to 4K rounds through it, slides like it’s on ball bearings. Just got a Staccato P yesterday. 100 or so rounds yesterday, another 300 to 350 today. Springfield Prodigy 4.25” - would swap internals, trigger, and send off to get ported. Would put an SRO and a Streamlight TLR1-HL on it. Staccato P or new Staccato C when it drops - Plate & SRO for each. Streamlight TLR1-HL for the both. From what I have gathered, both setups would be at, or around the same cost as one another all said & done. If you take apart Staccato and Springfield mags you'll find the latter is sprung quite a bit more. Imo the Staccato mags are under-sprung, especially in the 20 rounders. Easy fix is to put Atlas extra power springs in them. I need to do more testing but in my limited sample, the Prodigy mags have been solid in my P. Like.The Springfield Prodigy has a guide rod like this, and though it’s not as nice or easy as the Dawson Precision guide rod that the Staccato uses, it’s effective.
