I bought a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica in Feb. of 2017 and when I only had about 3900 miles on it I experienced the non-start (3 times) and "Service Shifter" message. The dealer ran a "Health test" and found nothing. The dealer has to know about this message which could indicate that the computer thinks the car is in gear.
