The toll was removed in 2003, but part of the toll booth remained in place to serve as a security post during the 30th G8 Summit held on Sea Island, GA in 2004, which is also reached by the Torras Causeway. The structure was entirely removed in 2006. The only remaining landmark is a tall street light which once illuminated the toll plaza area.
