1 post · Joined 2014. #1 · Nov 9, 2020. I own a 2017 Acadia. I first encountered the Shift to Park issue in January 2019. The car was fixed on 1/9/2019 under the technical service bulletin. I now have the issue again and unfortunately I am just outside the 3 yr 36,000 mile warranty as I bought my Acadia on 9/21/2017 and have 36,400 miles on it.IMO .. . the new TSB repair is more time consuming than just replacing the whole shifter. GM should perhaps have dealers send the shifter core back to have the new parts retro fitted at a facility. Without a doubt more time consuming. Prior versions of the TSB paid .6 hours of labor for the repair on an Acadia.If the brake lights don’t light up, replacing the switch should get you back on the road. 3. Shift Interlock Failure.
