If you are talking urban areas then Atlanta (1926 sq miles) is bigger than Dallas (1407 sq miles). If you're talking CSAs then Dallas (9286 sq miles) is bigger than Atlanta (8376 sq miles).

Everything feels "larger" in Atlanta than it does in MSP. It's a product of Atlanta being the sole hub of +6 million vs. Minneapolis being the bigger of two nodes of 3.7 million people.
