I replaced the batteries in both and discovered that another 2nd-floor sensor had somehow dropped off the list of added devices. Replaced that battery as well and added the sensor. After that, the 1st-floor sensors are all 👍🏻, but the same two problematic 2nd-floor sensors are constantly not responding/restored/not responding/restored/etc.
