The Shining is a great haunted house story and a great descent into madness which are my two favorite horror genres, fascinating story that never gets old.My personal favorite (well, a tie-in with Ravenloft), is the most well-known one and The Library is the best resource on the books or if you want a timeline of major (and lesser) events. Another site would be Candlekeep : I haven't really browsed it in 4-5 years, but it doesn't seem to have changed much. Luke I appreciate the way the gospel is put forward in this book. It's the one I find myself re-reading the most. John is probably the best for overall theology of the meaning of Christ's sacrifice but Luke does a great job of clearly pointing out the events that took place. Pandora's Star and subsequent books are good, but while it's some great scifi with a really unique take on alien mentality and purpose relative to the way humans work and think, i felt the whole experience was downgraded by the author's need to shoehorn in sexy moments that didn't do anything for the plot.
