The new longer grip of the Macro increases the overall height of the pistol to 5.2," which is less than a half inch taller than the 365 XL with its 12 +1 capacity. The amazing thing is the Macro remains a small pistol and is still a slim 1 inch thick. X-Macro Comp allows a full grip but retains its compact origins.

Mar 8, 2024 · The only way to put a 3.7" barrel on a X Macro Comp is to change the slide and barrel however you do not need to change the spring. Sig XL slides ~ $349.00, Sig barrel ~ $220....I would buy a complete P365XL before buying parts. I did make the move a bought the X Macro Comp. I picked it up this morning. Hiding grip length is my only real issue when concealing. I'd love a macro slide on a 12 round grip module. But for me personally if I am carrying a grip that long its probably going to be on a larger, heavier and more capable 4" Compact gun. The Macro is a SubCompactX type Crossover pistol. The Sig X-Macro comes in a few flavors, most with polymer based grips. I have the non-compensated version with the 3.7" barrel, the TACOPs with the same barrel, and the new alloy framed AXG Legion. My non-comp X-Macro came with suppressor height sights and a Romeo Elite.

The "comp" isn't very effective. We're talking about something that only gets gassed a tiny bit before the barrel blocks the comp as the slide reciprocates. You're exhanging almost an inch of barrel length to have the inherently least effective comp you could design. I think the x macro and tacops have the same finish.They make 3 different X Macro versions now. Comp (365XCA-9-COMP), TacOps (365XCA-9-TACOPS) and the version (365XCA-9-BXR3) which uses the xl slide and 3.7" barrel. Sig has a conversation kit available but for the price you are better off just buying another gun.The P365 is the base, the first, the original. 3.1-inch barrel, 5.8-inches long, 4.3-inches tall, 1.1-inches wide, 17.8oz, and uses a SIG proprietary rail for mounting lights and lasers. 10-round magazine fits flush and has a pinky extension. P365 X gets a slightly longer grip making it 4.8-inches tall. 12-round mag is standard and flush fitting.It basically appears to be a Tacops without the bells and whistles. The bigger surface area of the grip on the MACRO helps spread out the force on the hand and the slide comp helps as well. The difference is slight but noticeable.Might want to get the new Macro tacops (suppressor height sights, 4mags, extended slide release) for $100 less I believe. I don't think the comp adds that big of a difference (15% for tartan tactical estimate). Just good for thought.
