For the past several times I have cranked it the starter has to turn it over several times (5 or 6)for it to crank, unlike when it was new and started on the first turn. Once it had a little trouble picking up like it was out of fuel.

M7040 HDC-1,JD 4255,Ford 6700. IIRC the M7040 fuel tank vent hose is located by LH rear cab post. I once owned M4900 that engine would loose rpm's/die from lack of access to fuel. Local Kubota dealer service manager advised me to check for clogged screen in water seperater shutoff valve.Free flowing out of the filter into the inlet side of the lift pump. ZERO FLOW out of the lift pump to the secondary filter and engine. Voltage to harness is 12.2 volts. Turn key on and you can feel pump is running with no sound and ZERO flow out of it . So….there’s the obvious source of the issue.

In January 2021 tractor started and ran for about 10 minutes then engine died. Restarted after a short cranking period and ran for about 5 more minutes then died again. Would not restart.

If you still having hard start issues it's not the lift pump, it's either getting air into the fuel system, has a bad glow plug or plugs, or some other issue.
