Just back from a morning session at the range with the M94 32-40 and the Spfld Trapdoor carbine 45-70. Using Marshall's 350 Piledriver GC cast with 23.5 gr Alliant 2400, Rem 9 1/2 Primer and Rem brass, was clocking 1575.4 fps avg out of the 20" bbl and getting a 4" group at 100 yds with the original 1884 Buffington military iron sights.

Its a great powder VERY versatile. It is made for a specific reason its a BULKY powder, initially perfect for SASS type shoots where folks wanted light loads in large cases like 44/40 & 45 Colt. But Versatile because its a full pressure powder, but one that offers lower velocities perfect for soft lead bullet loads. ANY straight case can use it.
