The fan switch is in the radiator, so it does not get hot enough to kick on when the thermostat is stuck shut. When you get in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th gear you can give it gas but it will not speed up right away, it will start speeding up slowly and once it gets enough speed it runs fine, or until you change to the next gear. Before you do anything else, you should run 12V directly to the fan to make sure its working properly. If the fan is good and the fuse is not ...
