I had tried the Hinson shifter but I found the shifts to be so short that I sometime couldn't tell if I was in gear or not.I heard in the news recently that researchers have found stem cells in fat. My Hurst shifter feels more precise than the stock shifter, but the throw is only about 1/8th inch less. I did see a Hinson shifter that claims to have a 2 inch throw, but the shift effort increase is significant.

Sounds good. I thought the stock shifter was decent as well. That's the reason it took me so long to install the MGW shifter. I noticed your shifting technique seems to cover basic fundamentals of shifting. I been on this forum for approx 4 years and noticed your deep background and experience with corvettes and C7's.

Having previously tested a C6, and not liking its clutch & shifter, I made sure I test drove a C7 prior to pulling the trigger.

All of the factory shifters are vague, and long throw, so if you're willing to put up with high resistance, I recommend the MGW. To me I didn't like the high stiffness with my MGW.
