I watched it tonight and was surprised at how bad it was for Depp. He accused Heard's team of creating a fake text ("you could have written it last night") although Rottenborn calmly … In my opinion, the fact that Depp’s team leaned on Kate Moss’s testimony in their closing shows how much evidence they lack. Her testimony was nothing; it was just addressing a rumor Amber heard. If this is their basis, it is weak. Not to mention that I don’t appreciate them disregarding Ellen Barkin. My favorite part was when he said Depp was mad/had stopped being his friend because he'd had to testify in another court case and was honest. I don't know the exact quote but he basically shrugged and said something like, "Well I wasn't going to lie." My takeaway, with a grain of salt, was that Depp HAD expected him to lie under oath. Yup. But also, "At 18 everything is dramatic" isn't even an excuse for him smashing stuff. He wasn't the 18yo. Even if we are as kind as possible to him here and make him the youngest he could possibly be when she was 18 - like on her 18th birthday - this is a 26yo man. He doesn't merit the excuse of ~youthful drama~ as a 26-27yo grown man smashing … Because if you look at interviews, he genuinely seems to like Amber but supporting her over Depp would send Depp's stans after him. They are known to harass Amber & anyone associated with her en masse. This could potentially hurt Aquaman 2 so he probably liked both to appear neutral in the matter for self-preservation purposes.
