The Gyrm Axe is both the slowest and hardest hitting. The Bandit Axe has no reach and is good in spite of this. I don't care for the moveset of most of the hammers but they're all fine. My personal favorite is the Craftsman's Hammer and it has easily the best moveset in the class. The only strength spear is the Gargoyle Bident. The best dex weapon in my experience is poison lmao. Infusing a manslayer katana with poison will have you killing (not immune) bosses and enemies in a couple of hits. Poison is awesome in this game. But really any fast hitting weapon (most are dex) will prog poison pretty fast.

Its R2 is a sideswipe that catches rolling enemies. It has the longest reach of any thrusting sword. It's one of the few weapons that's still good with Mundane. Its 2HR2 pierces shields.
