Hatfield SAS Auto-Loader failure. I was in gun shop today and a customer brought in his 28 GA Hatfield with a forearm in 2 pieces. Images attached. He reported that the base of the shell was ejected out and he was unable to find it. Shotgun is a 3" chambered gun. The soot on the split forearm,to me indicates the gas leakage split this forearm.
