2003 Forester 2.5 XS 101,000 miles Auto. I took my Forester to a Subaru dealer to find and fix some rear noises. They replaced some suspension parts, but said that any remaining noise was from the brakes. The remainingn symptom was a loud grinding noise when making a left turn. As far as I'm aware, all brake equipment was original.I have had my car 8 months and have only had wind noise in two situations. 1. With an aftermarket sunroof delector fitted. 2. With roof crossbars fitted. Both cause the wind noise to get progressively worse from 80kph up. I have removed the deflector permanently and only fit the cross bars when I need them.You may hear a noise from under the vehicle approximately 5 to 10 hours after the engine is turned off. Mine with M1 EP is considered quiet but so far none beats TGMO 0w20+Molygen Motor Protect on what I have tried.
