DayZ has only gotten better and better. It is much more fun to play now than it was a few years ago, and much better than the DayZ mod. My only issue is that official servers often have cheaters, which suck since there are literally no active community servers in my country and my ping sucks trying to connect anywhere else.

You could probably find a community server that wipes the map every restart but not player inventories, but there aren't any that do that I know about. If you're looking for servers without bases however, Zero (EU) and DayOne (NA) both offer that! Yes multiplay servers have the default persistence rules and timers.

Dont know about this database wipe though, my guy is still ok and hes more than a week old now. Acctually hes more like 2 weeks or more lol, had him well before christmas.
