See Section 14.11.9 of the Lorex D242 DVR Manual. Thanks but nothing in the manual helps with my problem. I have to do this too. I'm pretty sure there is some combination of holding in the reset button and rebooting, but i think it wipes out all your recordings. So save anything you think you might need to another device.
