Jul 7, 2000 · There's an innocence to this one that's missing from 2 and 3. Scary Movie 2 is basically a boob joke cash grab that I'm nostalgic about. Scary Movie 3 is basically Airplane but for sci-fi/horror movies. This feels plucky and lighthearted and like the people who made it were really having a good time.

The CGI is fairly dated at many points and the entire second half of the movie is so incredibly rushed that it goes by in a blur. There's also tons of '80's sci-fi cheesiness which is both enjoyable and bad. But, despite a lot of problems with this movie, I can still enjoy it.
