I just tried this method and it works perfectly fine for Weapon multi hit (from false to true) but unfortunately, I didn't notice zombie population increase... I even try to switch this parameter to 4(insane) but there still were few zombies on streets.For example, A spear has a 1 in 2 base Chance to break with 5 maximum condition. This gives it a lifetime usage of 10 hits (2 x 5) before it will typically break. Maintenance 8 and weapon skill 4 will give the spear: 1 in 2 + (((8+(4/2))/2) x 2) 1 in 2 + ((10/2)x2) 1 in 2 + 10 1 in 12 chance to lose 1 condition.

Multiplayer that type of settings is out of your control so why worry (unless of course you are the one in charge of the server in that case is almost the same as singleplayer, do what you enjoy the most). 8. Knowing how to adjust your position among the zombies makes possible to fight 6~8 zombies at the same time if you are using blades, spears or axes.
